What is Mindfulness?

A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness single pointedly on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

How we work: 

  • Minimum of 10 weeks/once a week meditation coaching. Sessions are on Zoom or in person locally in Boulder, Colorado.
  • After our initial intake process, private session work is tailored to best meet the needs of the individual.
  • The client will both learn the techniques and practices of meditation as well as teachings on integration and application into daily work and life.
  • We also focus on the integration of mindfulness into the enhancement of executive leadership.
  • The coaching includes the design of daily home meditation space and practice.

Team Executive Mindfulness & Meditation Coaching

Mindfulness meditation when learned as a team can quickly and easefuly create a more successful team on all levels. Our program is unique in its focus on rigorously integrating mindfulness teaching and practices into leadership development and team communication. In the rapidly changing markets of today, it is essential that teams develop skills of awareness to better tap the creative edge needed to succeed. Teams practicing mindfulness will release their limiting beliefs, resistant behavior patterns, and interpersonal difficulties. Such programs can help them to develop new skill sets including the capacity to think more strategically, creatively and motivate others.

  • Our work is tailored to your team needs and goals.
  • Full or 1/2 day seminars offered at an organization's location. Conceptual and experiential introduction to mindfulness and its relevance and applications in todays fast paced corporate environment.
  • Mindful Awareness at Work Course. Comprehensive program offered on location in 2 hour classes for 7 consecutive weeks plus one full day. Most effective when open to all levels of an organization on a voluntary basis.

About Kate Spear

Kate has been on a mindfulness path for 25 years.

She holds a degree from Penn State in psychology, is a Certified meditation and yoga teacher, a Certified facilitator of Access Consciousness and is trained in Somatic Journey work. She spent 8 years in an Ashram community studying with master teachers and practicing meditation daily.

Her professional life includes having worked as a department head on the executive team for the Telluride Ski Resort, owning a retail and nutrition business, operating SpearVision consulting firm and founding and running numerous other ventures. Her current work includes executive team coaching, leading meditation retreats internationally, conscious business consulting and coaching individuals in personal transformation.

Hiking into the high country is a passion for Kate and when she's not working on her memoir of her life in an ashram, she is spending time with her 3 daughters.
